Lecture Scribes Server transcribes audio from the iPad or iPhone's internal microphone, a bluetooth or USB microphone or transmitter, or directly from a sound system mixing board connected via an analog to digital convertor.
That transcription is then parsed into clips that are sent to the Cloud. Additionally corrections that speech to text made with prior words (often in a sentence) are also sent to the Cloud and updated clips. The Lecture Scribes Android and iOS devices pull the real-time transcription clips down from the cloud for display.
So why is Lecture Scribes Server only available for iPad/iPhone and not Android devices? To optimize the capture of the audio and transcription services in Lecture Scribes Server, we link directly to the iOS operating system for optimum performance. We currently do not have an Android version of LS Server.
The Lecture Scribes application is available free of charge for all iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. This app gives audience members real-time transcription of a lecture or sermon, where the presenter is using the Lecture Scribes Server app.
Each organization can choose if they want events to include a Spanish translation.
This app pulls the transcribed audio real-time, as the lecture is happening, for display on their device.
